Environmental Policy
We are doing all that we can to have the lowest environmental impact that we can. We are using low energy lightbulbs where possible, trying not to leave computers on standby and reducing the use of the internal combustion engine where possible. We try to combine trips to the post office with other journeys, and and where this is unavoidable and the weather is OK, we take orders to the post office using our E-Trike.
Printing
The printers that we use to print our booklets are ISO 14001:2015 Certified. This means that they work to a set of environmentally management standards called ISO 14001:2015.
As part of this they are inspected annually by external auditors who measure their environmental impact and provide them with a plan on how to be even better for the next year. This means they are always working towards reducing their impact on the environment, which is better for them, us, you, the planet - everyone, really!
Packaging
We try to use the least amount of plastic in packaging as possible. Paper envelopes and cardboard boxes are used wherever possible. We use paper tape, rather than plastic tape to seal boxes and internal packaging is usually recycled from orders that we have received ourselves, or from paper that we have shredded ourselves. Where bubble wrap is required for more delicate orders, we use a type of bubble wrap that can go into your recycling - this type of bubblewrap is green in colour.
