Applying Nature-Based Approaches to Your Practice

On Thursday 17th October Hugh Asher (from here at An Darach Forest Therapy in Scotland) and Kit Kline (From Nature-Based Therapy in Australia) will be delivering an online session by Zoom from 9 to 11am BST or 7-9pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time.*

The session will introduce you to the concepts and the principles of using nature-based approaches when working with people in recovery from drug and alcohol use or those experiencing mental health challenges.

You will learn:

  • How to introduce simple nature mindfulness activities into your practice

  • How to use nature as a metaphor for resilience, growth and change

  • How to use nature journaling and other reflective exercises with the people you work with

The session will be held via Zoom and will cost AUS$90 / approximately £45.

Hugh and Kit have written two workbooks that can be used by your clients either by themselves, or in conjunction with you. These will be referred to during the training but PDFs of the activities used will be provided in advance.
