An Introduction to Forest Bathing and Nature Connection in Glengarry Woods

  • Glengarry Woods Invergarry, Scotland, PH35 4HG United Kingdom (map)

Forest Bathing involves walking slowly and leisurely through the woodland, immersing yourself in the natural environment and mindfully using all your senses. People often find it physically, psychologically and emotionally beneficial to spend time bathing in the atmosphere of the trees.

This guided Forest Bathing walk will last between two and three hours, but in this time we only walk about a mile. During the walk, Hugh (your Forest Bathing Guide) will periodically stop to offer Forest Bathing ‘Invitations’. These are activities intended to encourage you to connect with the natural world through your different senses, heightening your sensory awareness and increasing your nature-connection.

We end each walk with the Forest Bathing practice ‘Sit Spot’ and a Tea Ceremony with a cup of locally foraged tea.

This walk will be delivered FREE OF CHARGE as part of a Green Health Grant that we have received, although booking is required, and includes a complimentary copy of one of our Forest Bathing Booklets. You will need to book before 10am on the day of the walk. If transport is an issue please email me.
