Hinoki has been revered in Japan for centuries for its beautiful, durable wood and the fragrant essential oil. It is considered sacred in the Japan where it is used as a material for building temples, shrines and fragrant ritual baths. However its widespread popularity has led to its loss in the wild, where it is considered an endangered species. The Hinoki Wood Essential Oil we sell has been distilled from byproducts from the timber industry such as leftover wood remnants and shavings that are unsuitable for other purposes.

We commonly defuse these essential oils with a reed diffuser or put a few drop on one of our Terracotta Leaves.

These terracotta leaves measure approximately 50mm by 35mm and will hold one or two drop of essential oils. They can be put on top of a radiator to emit the scents faster, or put in your sock draw once the oil has been absorbed to make your socks smell nature-fresh.

Postage is £2 on their own but can be combined with essential oil orders at no extra cost.
