There is a sunrise and a sunset every single day, and they are absolutely free.
Don’t miss so many of them.

Suggested Invitation* for Day 15
*It might be good to have this as a wildcard invitation and pick a nice day without too many clouds on which to do it!
Friluftsliv, Hygge And Wellbeing
There is a Norwegian term ‘Friluftsliv’ (pronounced free-lufts-leav) that translates into English as ‘free-air life’ or ‘open-air living’. The term was first coined by the poet Henrik Ibsen in 1859, who used the term to describe the physical, psychological and spiritual benefits that you get from spending time in the outdoors.
According to the 2022 World Happiness Report, Finland is the happiest country in the world, followed by Denmark and then Iceland. Denmark has been in the top three happiest of the 155 countries surveyed for all ten years of the World Happiness Report. Perhaps this is because they value a cultural construct called “hygge” (pronounced hyoo-guh). In his book The Little Book of Hygge: Danish Secrets To Happy Living, Meik Wiking explains that you know hygge when you feel it, but that some of the key ingredients are togetherness, relaxation, presence, and comfort. “The true essence of hygge is the pursuit of everyday happiness and it’s basically like a hug, just without the physical touch,” he says.
Today’s invitation is very simply to catch a sunset or sunrise with a flask of hot chocolate or mulled wine if you can. Maybe pack a picnic breakfast or dinner too and sit on a blanket somewhere with a great view. What do you notice about the sunrise or sunset?
