Wandering Wondering
If you find that it helps, then start your Sit Spot with the breathing and the Sensory Inventory practices. Then, during your Sit Spot, allow your mind to wander and ask questions about nature – “I wonder what bird makes that sound?”, “I wonder what it would be like to be a bird, a fox, a bee?”, “I wonder how long that tree has been growing?”, “I wonder what this landscape looked like a thousand years ago?” for instance. Continue this for as long as you wish and then just sit and ‘be’, giving yourself the gift of time and allow yourself permission to be fully present, in your Sit Spot.
